Facebook Messenger

What the integration does

When an organization enables Messenger for a connected Facebook Page, inbound Page messages are delivered to runClear. The chatbot assigned to that Page can use its configured instructions and knowledge to reply through Messenger, while runClear retains the conversation context for the organization's customer workflow.

Messenger is enabled separately for each connected Page. A Page can have no chatbot or one assigned chatbot, and disabling Messenger stops runClear from replying to new Page messages.

How access is authorized

An authorized organization administrator connects Meta using Meta's authorization flow and selects the Facebook Pages the organization may use. Access is limited to the permissions granted through Meta and the selected Pages. One runClear organization cannot use another organization's Page connection.

Page credentials are received server-side and encrypted before storage. runClear never asks for or receives the administrator's Meta password.

Information used

The integration may process:

• Facebook Page identifiers, names, permissions, and connection status.
• Encrypted Page access credentials supplied through Meta.
• Page-scoped sender identifiers and conversation participants.
• Message text, supported attachments, timestamps, referral data, and delivery identifiers.
• The related runClear contact, conversation, deal, and activity history.
• Chatbot instructions and knowledge relevant to preparing a response.

Conversation content may be sent to the artificial-intelligence provider selected for the assigned chatbot. This information is used to provide the integration, maintain customer context, secure access, and troubleshoot authorized connections. It is not sold or shared for third-party advertising.

Business and user controls

• Only authorized organization members can configure the connection.
• The organization chooses which Page and chatbot are connected.
• The organization can disconnect Messenger or Meta and stop future access.
• Organization roles and permissions control access inside runClear.
• Users may request deletion through our data deletion instructions.
